Although all types of mold growth are harmful to your property, some are also harmful to your health. Aspergillus Niger and Stacybotrys are two types of black mold that can cause disease in human beings.  If children, the elderly, or people with chronic respiratory illnesses are frequently in your property, Black mold should be taken care of immediately to avoid serious health problems.    

ASPERGILLUS NIGER

Aspergillus niger is a frequent causative agent of  aspergilloma, a condition in which a clump of mold grows inside the body cavity, typically in the lungs. 
Aspergillus niger is also often found do be the cause of chronic otitis, a fungal colonization of the ear canal.

STACHYBOTRYS

Stachybotrys, another type of black mold, is a fairly common species. Stachybotrys produces mycotoxins, compounds that have toxic properties. These mycotoxins can appear in both living and dead mold spores.

Fiberboard, gypsum board, paper, dust, and lint are all very conducive to the growth of Stachybotrys. Growth occurs when there is moisture from excessive humidity, water damage, water leaks, condensation, flooding, water infiltration, or a combination of any of the above.
